Great to see you here! Hi, I’m Lori.
Hi! Hey! Hello! Aloha!
I hope you were looking for a photographer, because that’s me! Lori! Hiii!
The truth is, doing a blog (again) makes me nervous. Putting myself out into the world, the internet, is a whole lot of vulnerability I’m not super good at. Let’s not get it mixed up, I’m pretty decent at vulnerability, just you know, in small groups, not where anyone can see it! :) BUT I also ask my clients to be vulnerable in front of my camera, so to be fair, I think I can do the same.
You can see some of my typical get to know me stuff, on my ABOUT page on my site. I hope you check out some of the links on my favorite things because I took some time picking out the exact one that would explain some of who I am. It’s not that deep, I just made it that deep! Haha.
So besides photography, I have also done other work in the creative field, as a creative director, art director and creative producer. I love producing as a creative director because it allows me the chance to support other creative people so they can do their jobs at the top of their game. Helping others feel seen, heard and understood is something I love in my job and my life.
Not to get too vulnerable too quickly…see what I did there, haha, I’ll tell you a little more about something always worth talking about, my dog, Walter!! Walter came to me from family. He needed a new home, and I was ready for a dog again. So, it was the most perfect timing.
We are a pair, let me tell ya! We are always looking where the other is at. We are both pretty good at taking cuddly naps and we both have super hot core body temperatures, which he loooves, but I always have zero blankets on me by morning. He has such a fun, sassy and lovable personality and I’m very lucky to have him.
I never understood why people make their dachshunds their personality, but now having one, I get it. Their personalities are so big in such a tiny body, you can’t help but be consumed by how particular they are. Especially because there are times when you have to earn their attention and love. I do think I got lucky because overall, Walter is pretty friendly and wants everyone to be his friend. I think mostly because he knows it benefits him in the end, which scratches, snuggles and possibly treats.
